Scott & Brittney- Engagement Session

As you can see from my earlier post, we made our way up to Seattle two weekends ago.  The main purpose of the trip was for my Engagement Session with Scott & Brittney.  🙂  Brittney and I are family.  Our Grandma’s are sisters, our dad’s are cousins, so I believe that makes her and I third cousins.  I can recall spending many days out in Crow, the tiny town our Grandma’s grew up in, riding quads, taking hikes and playing “Murder”.  🙂  (“Murder” is really “Aggravation”)

Anyway, when I saw the little Facebook post late one night that read: “I’m Engaged”- I was so excited for them!  The wall-to-wall posts began and I demanded details!  🙂  When Brittney & Scott chose Jeff and I as their Photographers, we were thrilled!  We can’t begin to express how grateful and honored we are that you chose us for your special day.

The Engagement Session was so much fun- even if we did get lost a few times.  Hehe!  It’s all just part of the bonding, right?  🙂  We can’t wait for the wedding and I hope you LOVE your pics!!

Brittany & Derek- Engagement Session

Two weekends ago Jeff and I met up with the most adorable couple, Brittany and Derek.  🙂  As soon as I saw them walking up to us, I was excited!  They were so precious, so excited and so in love.  Brittany discovered me from my website, but once we started walking around the park and talking, we realized she went to school with my cousins.  Oddly enough, she also went to prom with a good friend of mine- how funny is that?

When I decided to venture into Wedding Photography, it started out as just another reason to take pictures.  I love my camera, I love the view from my camera and I love to see the world from behind my camera.  I quickly realized how much I love Weddings- not in a 27 Dresses kind of way- I just honestly love what they symbolize.  Love, honor, trust, eternity…  Being asked to document and preserve a couple’s Wedding Day is so amazing.  We cherish every minute of it, getting to know the future Mr & Mrs, capturing the chaos, the raw emotion and heartfelt vows.

Brittany & Derek- we can’t wait to get to know more about the two of you and celebrate with you on July 11th.  We are so looking forward to your wedding and preserving your memories.  We hope you love your pictures!!  🙂

Mark & Justine- Engagement Session

Last Sunday was fabulous!  I am good friends with Justine and her fiance, Mark.  I was so excited to do their engagement session- they are honestly the cutest couple.  Ever.  🙂  I love engagement sessions because the sessions are very casual and in most cases, this is my chance to get to know the future Bride & Groom before their wedding day.  When the engaged couples are friends of mine, it makes the experience even more fun.  Mark & Justine, you two rock and I adore you both!  Although the wedding is a few years out- I can’t wait for it to happen!  🙂  I hope you love your pictures!!!

Jamie + Dustin- Salem Wedding 8.10.08

So yesterday I had the honor of capturing Jamie & Dustin’s wedding!  They were so adorable and so obviously in love with each other.  The wedding site was so perfect and both of their families were so wonderful!  Jamie was so gorgeous and she would just beam whenever Dustin was near.  Dustin was so handsome couldn’t keep his eyes off of his bride.  🙂  It was awesome!  My hubby (and #1 supporter) came along with me to take on the task of second shooter.  Working with him was so much fun and we got several comments on what a great team we made.  🙂  Now he’s hooked for life!  Haha!  Congrats Jamie & Dustin- your day was perfect- I hope you love your portraits!!!  More to be posted soon!
