Engagement Session Heather & Jason

Last weekend I had the opportunity to meet up with Heather & Jason to shoot their engagement pictures.  We started out at his parent’s house and then made our way to their Lake House.  I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this August, they were a lot of fun!  :)  Congratulations, you two!!

David Jay!!

So here is the pic I have been promising!  There is a funky shadow on my face- this wasn’t taken with my camera, so I can’t exactly explain it.  It’s unfortunate, but what can you do?  :)  My mission is just to meet up with DJ again and get another shot- minus the crazy shadow!!  Haha  :)

The girl on the left is the fabulous Jen Lewis (my long lost sister- our lives are exactly the same, it’s kinda scary!)  :)  I cannot stress enough how amazing David is, a truly amazing guy!!  DJ- can’t thank you enough for the inspiration, honestly!

One Hot Mama!

So, my BFF Andrea is expecting her second little boy this August.  She is an awesome mommy, an awesome friend and overall just an awesome person!  She and I met years ago when we both worked at this little picture studio- neither one of us thought we would like each other and after one shift together- we just clicked!  Wherever there’s laughter- you’ll find me and Andrea.  :)

Congratulations, Miss Andrea!  I love you!!  And I can’t wait to meet you, Dain!  :)

PPO

So, this last weekend I was able to attend the PPO (Professional Photographer’s of Oregon) Seminar in Bend, OR at the Mt. Bachelor Resort.  It was amazing!  I met some wonderful people, made some new friends, and had the opportunity to get tips from some incredible photographers!!  (TJ Cameron & David Jay- just to name a few!!)  It was so hard to be away from my husband and kids, but it was honestly one of the greatest things I could have done for myself and my business.

TJ is just incredible- he is totally my hero.  I love his work, his approach, and his style.

David Jay was so inspiring, so informative, so moving and all around just an awesome guy!  For any photographers out there- definitely check out his showit site:  www.showitfast.com  I  totally purchased his slideshow program: showit web, and I am currently building my new website through his showit sites program.  He is so innovative!

All I can say is thank you to the PPO for bringing these two to the seminar and a huge thank you to TJ & DJ for all of the inspiration!  :)

BTW- I had my picture taken with DJ and my new friend (aka long lost sister) Jen Lewis.  I will post that ASAP!

Congratulations, Derek!

Friday my family got to witness Derek (my cousin) graduate from high school.  Derek and his brother, Grant, have always been more like my little brothers than cousins.  In fact, when Derek was born, I always called him “My Baby” and in many ways he was.  I did EVERYTHING for him and I still would.  Needless to say it was very bittersweet for me, I am very proud of him and the man he has become, but it’s so hard to believe he is already at this stage of his life…

Congrats, Derek!  We love you and we truly are so proud of you!!!

Trevor

Sunday I met up with Trevor for his Senior Session.  He was a lot of fun and totally adorable!  He showed me some great places to take pictures in Cottage Grove.  I can’t wait to go back and get some more shots downtown!  Thanks for being my tour guide!!  :)

This pose was his idea and I absolutely love it!

This one is one of my absolute favorites!

Congrats Trevor!!!  Good luck with everything to come!

Announcement!!

New Banner!

My precious little Addi!  :)

Tyler’s Territory

I am a little behind getting these pictures posted.  Two weeks ago I went out to “Tyler’s Territory” for his 2nd Senior Session.  The first session was on the beach, but these pictures are sooo Tyler.  :)  We went to his uncle’s place and got some pictures with the barn.  Tyler is so much fun, I had a great time doing this session with him!

Tyler’s buddy Chad came along for the ride.  After spending some time at his uncle’s place, they lead us to a place I could never find again.  :)  They know the land quite well, I felt like I was in another country!  (Thank you GPS!)  I love that you can see the valley for miles in this picture, Oregon is so beautiful!!!

The picture below cracks me up!  They thought it would be cool to get a picture of them jumping from a stump, I thought it was hilarious!  :)  We all had a good time, it was so much fun spending a few hours with these guys!!  Congrats Tyler!!!

Derek Part 2

Since spring has been non-existent in Oregon this year, Derek and I finally decided to just do pictures, regardless of the weather.  We went out two Saturday’s ago and wouldn’t you know- it decided to snow!  (Snow in April???)  He’s my cousin, so I can torture him!  :)  We started up at Skinner’s Butte and made our way down one Downtown street- I have to say I love the results!  We were on a very tight schedule and managed to get about 100 shots in 45 minutes.  :)  The one below, I love!

Congrats, Derek!

Another favorite!  We were driving to Skiner’s Butte and saw a building with some incredible graffiti.  Love it!

My aunt wishes he wasn’t wearing this shirt.  I love the whole look.  :)
